Job Description

This role manages a team of Field Service Technicians (FSTs) and oversees company operations in Qatar and Kuwait. You'll be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth operations from pre-planning to invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Focus:

    • Act as the primary customer liaison for all operational aspects, including pre-planning, equipment delivery, installation, troubleshooting, FST coordination, after-market support, and service invoicing.

    • Support all bid proposals by providing technical expertise and coordinating field service activities.

    • Provide technical sales support, ensuring customers are fully informed about all aspects of a project.

    • Build strong relationships with customer operations and contract management teams, visiting customer offices regularly.

  • Team Leadership & Operations:

    • Manage and lead a team of FSTs, ensuring efficient project execution.

    • Compile and submit field service orders, job reports, and customer feedback, along with revenue-generating documents.

  • Quality & Safety:

    • Identify and address quality issues, ensuring proper documentation and communication with service management.

    • Lead efforts to identify and rectify service-related nonconformances.

    • Prepare and complete all safety-related documentation, including JSRA reports.

    • Champion safe work practices and ensure FST compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in wellhead installation, MMR, and strong customer service.

  • Proven track record as a customer-facing focal point for service and aftermarket operations support. NOC certification preferred.

  • Understanding of the demanding nature of the role and willingness to provide support outside regular working hours.

  • Experience installing wellhead systems in the field.

  • Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret design drawings and create hand sketches for internal/external communication.

  • Experience managing a team of FSTs.

  • Experience working on commercial proposals and supporting technical sales efforts.

  • Ability to perform moderate calculations and offer real-world experience to the engineering team.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, explain, and teach others about technical tools and instruments.

  • Ability to remain calm and respond constructively under pressure while dealing with challenging customer feedback.

  • Experience working in a diverse team with different nationalities and managing teams with similar backgrounds.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry practices and internal company procedures.
