Tarteel was founded with one mission: to strengthen the relationship Muslims have with the Quran. This goal has been at the very heart of Tarteel since its creation, and we continue to strive to provide the proper tools to empower the Muslim ummah to better connect with the words of Allah SWT, nourishing their faith in doing so.

Inspired by the Islamic Golden Age, we saw untapped potential in the area of religious technology. We built Tarteel to help Muslims improve their Quranic study using the best digital tools. The Quran is a journey, and Tarteel is your companion.

What we're looking for

In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain our web and mobile applications. Our mobile app is built with React Native and our websites use React, NextJS, and Webflow. If you have a strong background in these technologies and a passion for building high-quality software, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and mobile features using React, React Native, NextJS, HTML, and CSS
• Translate high-polish landing pages into pixel-perfect responsive experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
• Completely build and own web applications and landing pages independently without guidance
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices
• Proactively identify and drive changes as needed across all product areas
• Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Participate in code and design reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and product quality
• Provide strategic insight and technical guidance on how to architect our code base to support our user base as we scale product features

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in front end development
• Proficiency in JavaScript and React, with experience using NextJS or other web frameworks
• Proficiency with HTML and CSS, with experience using Tailwind or other CSS frameworks
• Competency with Webflow
• Strong understanding of web application architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Solid knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools and processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
