Job Description
An entry level architecture role within EA team, leveraging, supporting and promoting defined EA strategy and framework
Work with senior architects within the team to drive adherence to EA standards and leading practices (e.g. TOGAF)
Provide architecture guidance and high-level solution blueprints for projects/initiatives of simple to medium complexity
Not necessarily an expert but work across various Business Units/Functional domains as per need
Maintain, update and enhance EA artifacts in the central library, add reference architectures for projects to leverage
Facilitate and participate in the EA governance initiatives/ Design Authority meetings to ensure projects’ adherence to EA
Research and recommend new IT solutions, and/or reuse of existing IT assets for new business requirements
Provide EA services and an “Architecture Centre of Excellence” capability to programs and projects
Collaborate with and guide IT change delivery, IT services, PMO, 3rd party SIs, software vendors and technology services
Interface with business and IT business partners to secure architectural principles and ensure adoption of EA strategy/principles
Identify risks and deficiencies and recommend solutions for projects/ IT change initiatives
Develop, maintain and extend EA artifacts, presentations, system maps and reference documentation
Provide domain specific business technology thought leadership, keep pace with change in new technologies
Skills
Bachelor or Master degree in IT, MIS, IT Management or comparable technology / engineering discipline
8+ years industry experience, preferably handling Solution Architecture roles in complex organization(s)
Working knowledge of an EA framework (e.g. TOGAF or Zachman) and/or exposure of any EA tool will be advantageous
Knowledge of Retail, Industrial, Engineering or Automotive industry will be advantageous.
Packaged software implementation experience of at least one of the leading applications vendors.
Retail experience as well as client-side consulting/ advisory experience is desirable.
Knowledge of business process mapping and process re-engineering principles
Familiarity with graphical modelling approaches, tools and model repositories
Experience and comfort in presenting and facilitating at middle management levels.
