Job Description
Specific responsibilities include:
Recorded experience background with navy warehousing, material management, and supply support policies and procedures. Provides warehouse support with administrative functions, inventories, establishing work methods, and warehouse operations.
Develop program metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of program operations, utilize a wide range of approaches, principles and practices associated with material support programs.
Perform duties as assigned including one or more phases of inventory management including shipboard requirements determination, acquisition, local purchase, status tracking, distribution, accountability, financial, issue, retention, and disposal.
Manage and perform duties related to the overall logistics requirement, such as scheduling and conducting inventory both shipboard and Transient Shed facility or warehouse. Ensures supply operations are sustained to support material requirements onboard units supported by CNSG-C.
Perform restocking, researching, shipping, and have the knowledge with preparation of shipping documents either online and manually; coordinates and prepare shipping of material to Depot Level repairable for carcass processing, reporting, and turn-ins.
Acts as logistics liaison that will interface with the fleet to coordinate and provide service, to
include explaining procedures, discussing and resolving problems, obtaining information concerning plans, and deciding how to support operational requirements.
Identify issues related to material shortages, supply needs, including tracking and expediting parts for all CNSG-C supported units as required.
Manages and responsible for extracting data from various databases to include but not limited to NMD, NDE, OARS, FSC, MRDB (Corona), MFOM (NIPR/SIPR), EDFS, ELAR, EARRTS, VAMOSC, LogiQuest, One Touch, Haystack, and ships CSMPs to perform exploratory data analysis.
Act as logistic helpdesk support; strong customer service is required, providing information on a daily basis, performing deliverables and able to work with a team to support the command mission.
Perform any additional supply, administrative, and logistics related functions as required to support CNSG-C and provide onboard ship logistic support to include shipboard inventories.
Qualifications & Clearance Requirements
10 years' experience as an Active Duty, United States Navy, Logistic Specialist (LS), Culinary Specialist (CS) either onboard ship or shore command.
Strong knowledge with CASREP tracking, working LogiQuest, One Touch, Haystack, are strongly recommended.
US Secret Clearance mandatory verifiable in DISS.
Proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office, especially with Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
