Construction Supervisor

About the Role:

In this crucial role, you'll provide day-to-day oversight and direction to construction personnel, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan. You'll collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to manage project execution, quality control, and schedule adherence.

What You'll Do:

• Safety & Quality Champion:

  • Implement safety training programs and foster a culture of safety excellence on the job site.

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control procedures, specifications, and industry standards.

• Project Execution Expert:

  • Partner with the Project Manager to plan and execute project activities, meeting daily and overall project objectives.

  • Review and approve contractor submittals, including method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.

  • Track project progress and identify potential issues or delays, proactively taking corrective measures.

• Collaborative Leader:

  • Provide clear direction and guidance to construction personnel, motivating them to deliver high-quality work.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, maintaining open communication with all project stakeholders.

  • Support the Construction Manager in ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management or direct construction of large-scale industrial/infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience in the construction of water & wastewater treatment facilities (collection and treatment) is highly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.

• In-depth knowledge of international construction standards, specifications, and safety codes.

• Experience with heavy earthworks, reinforced concrete retaining structures, piping, welding, and mechanical systems a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage contractor performance, providing constructive feedback.

• Experience in developing and maintaining project schedules, including three-week look-ahead plans.

• Working knowledge of ES&H (Environmental, Safety & Health) and quality management systems.

• Experience working in the KSA/Middle East/GCC region is preferred.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to build strong relationships with project stakeholders.

• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to take ownership of projects.
