Job Description
As an Architectural Drafter, you'll be responsible for preparing and developing detailed architectural drawings that meet project specifications. You'll collaborate closely with architects, translate their designs into clear and accurate technical documents, and utilize your skills to support the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare architectural drawings using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
Create plans, sections, elevations, and details to accurately represent the design intent.
Utilize design visualization tools like SketchUp or 3D modeling software to enhance and refine design elements.
Conduct site inspections as needed to ensure plans accurately reflect the building environment.
Reproduce and distribute drawings, maintaining a record-keeping system for all project documents.
Assist the architectural team with creating sections and other technical elements.
Provide support to architects on various projects, reviewing and modifying plans as directed.
Leverage your expertise in AutoCAD, Corel Draw, and other relevant software to analyze projects, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
Collaborate with architects to solve complex technical problems and address environmental challenges related to the project site.
Survey, measure, and inspect properties to establish boundaries and gather information for renovation or conservation projects.
Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance or repair needs.
The Ideal Candidate:
Relevant technical qualification in Architectural Drafting or a related field (required).
Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in architectural drafting or a similar role (required).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Mastery of architectural drafting software (AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Revit is a plus).
Proficiency in 3D modeling software like 3ds Max or SketchUp (a plus).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
