Job Description
Accountabilities:
Manage the day to day QDF Warehouse operations (including sub-stores) to ensure agreed key performance indicators are met and customer expectations exceeded.
Ensure warehouse productivity and safety measures are agreed, implemented and monitored to maximize productivity whilst managing costs and minimizing operational risks and issues.
Provide feedback to the HODs regarding issues around stock and space, work with them to maximize operational efficiencies.
In conjunction with warehouse maintenance and FM teams, ensure equipment is operating safely and that the working environment is clean and serviceable.
Management of both Weekly and Monthly Operational Reports that are tailored around 4 core areas: Customer Key Performance Indicators, Manpower and Resource Planning Reporting, Stock Discrepancy Reporting and Management Reporting.
Ensure all Occupational Health and Safety standard operation procedures are adhered to at all times and risk assessments are carried out on a regular basis.
Conduct regular Warehouse/Bond/Sub Store inspections to ensure standards are maintained.
Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
About you
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Essential
Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
Minimum 7 years relevant experience
Internal and external customer advisory and management.
End-to-end knowledge of warehouse management and associated systems.
Health and safety management (minimum of working knowledge).
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with government agencies, suppliers and internal customers/ service providers
Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Preferred
LEAN Six-Sigma and/or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Finance / accounting reconciliation. Stock control management.
Has worked towards and/ or with ISO 9001 environment.
Working knowledge of Qatar legal and legislative requirements. Has managed end-to-end supply chains.
