Job Description
Job Purpose:
The job purpose is to drive the lean implementation roadmap for the UAE region and beyond.
Work towards organizational goals by using lean expertise and project management knowledge.
Be an active facilitator of Lean
Ensure that all participants understand and can deliver their own A3 projects and achieve their lean certification.
Provide onsite daily mentorship and support to region's lean A3 projects.
Establish a continuity and development plan for region's to sustain the lean program.
Act as a lean champion to provide leadership, expertise, and accountability.
Drive change, facilitate continuous improvement, standardize processes, and promote communication and collaboration.
Ensure the Lean implementation strategy works towards the organizational goals and that it complements the reliability program.
Ensure the lean management system is adopted and sustained by the BU to support organizational goals.
Drive results through the lean program working closely with GOE and Regional Operations Excellence teams and their supporting functions to optimize, generate efficiency and cost reduction improvements in accordance with:
PTIP01 LEAN Program guideline
PTIP02 LEAN Business System and Guideline
PTIP03 LEAN Business system standard
Key Accountabilities:
Facilitate and coach groups lean implementation.
Provide mentorship and coaching throughout each projects start to end.
Provide on-going support to all active A3 projects and ensure as needed follow up to ensure completion.
Ensure the successful completion of all A3 projects and certification is achieved.
Ensure that each project has quantifiable results verified through finance where appropriate.
Identify and train lean champions throughout the business unit who can deliver and ensure the continuity of the lean program in the UAE region and beyond once the term is completed.
Create a detailed and realistic roadmap for spreading the lean culture throughout JA for the operations excellence team.
Support and guide Operations Excellence Teams on creating a value stream map.
Create data driven verbal and written progress reports for top management and executives on the current progress and escalate where necessary.
Responsible to identify and mitigate risks that may arise during the projects course, as well as proactively solve them.
Align and coordinate cross-functional integration and collaboration of departments regarding the lean program implementation and the reliability program.
Establish a method for Kaizen card submissions and awareness campaign throughout all workforce levels. (Operators, Technicians and above).
Qualifications, Experience and Skills;
Minimum 5 years' experience in a container terminal.
Project management experience, ability to drive and deliver results and continuous improvement.
Proven experience in successful process improvements projects verified by Finance.Lean six sigma knowledge and DP World Lean program knowledge.
Excellent communication and mentorship skills
Strong analytical skills
