Job Description

The Pastry and Bakery Chef will be responsible for overseeing the pastry and bakery operations in a high-end restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

They will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of pastry and bakery items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

This role requires a strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and execute a variety of pastry and bakery items, including cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts.

2. Develop new recipes and menu items, taking into consideration customer preferences and dietary restrictions.

3. Ensure all pastry and bakery items meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

4. Oversee the production process, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and coordinating with other kitchen staff.

5. Train and supervise pastry and bakery staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure consistent quality and productivity.

6. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry and bakery area.

7. Stay updated on current industry trends and techniques, continuously improving skills and knowledge.

8. Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive dining experience.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as a Pastry and Bakery Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel.

2. Strong knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques, ingredients, and equipment.

3. Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to develop unique and appealing menu items.

4. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to train and supervise a team.

5. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Skills

- Proficient in various pastry and bakery techniques, including baking, cake decorating, and pastry making.

- Strong knowledge of ingredients and their proper usage in pastry and bakery items.

- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

-Indians preferable for this positions.
