Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Manage the projects performance and ensure the project is delivered within the budget, on schedule, and as per contract requirements
Be accountable for the project budget, on time execution and compliance to the contract and technical requirements. Coordinate with Manager - Production and Planning Manager for the allocation of resources on the assigned project
Provide update on the project progress (to internal and external stakeholders) and propose forecasts to the assigned Project Plan Coordinator on a daily basis and identify variances from the project plan and communicate to Manager - Production and client
Coordinate proper handover of the project documentation from the commercial section
Manage the project communication plan in order to assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel
Prepare and manage risks mitigation plans for each project, communicate deviations from the initially agreed project plan to internal and external stakeholders
Prepare project status reports on activities completed by collecting and analyzing information and trends
Implement and actively enforce compliance to work processes to ensure the health and safety of employees are under control and the protection of the environment is highly maintained
Focus on the department objectives and propose new initiatives in order to formulate strategies and suggest changes or improvements to current business plans, policies, and procedures
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or marine or any related field
Professional Experience:
- 4-6 years’ experience in Project Management from leading shipyard companies worldwide
Geographic Experience:
- GCC or other countries in a similar business setting
Computer Skills:
- Good knowledge of MS Office and web applications
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English - both written and spoken; Arabic as a plus
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
- Strong Project management practices and techniques
- Strong knowledge of general repair, outfitting and fabrication operations and services
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, hull coatings and steel repairs
- Understanding of QHSSE regulation
- Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems
