Job Description
ResponsibilitiesDirect, coordinate, implement, execute, control, and complete projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategy, commitments, and goals.
Plan and coordinate projects using project methodologies and related tools to achieve successful completion within scope, on time, and within budget.
Lead team and stakeholder meetings, using engaging, informative presentation methodologies.
Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, and scheduling.
Deliver timely and effective updates to internal and external contacts.
Manage project risk and change management, taking an active role in resolving conflicts and delivering solutions.
Oversee activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule.
Create and maintain project documentation.
Represent the hospital project among local authorities and relevant stakeholders for project-related issues.
Have overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the project.
Ensure accurate data and information collection and analyze it for adequate implementation of the hospital project.
Develop plans of action, lead their implementation, and adapt project orientation to fulfill objectives.
Establish a systematic and accurate reporting system for all hospital activities.
Ensure staff has necessary resources, skillsets, and tools by identifying ongoing educational and training opportunities.
Ensure project outcomes meet or exceed expectations in terms of scope, timeliness, and quality through close-out project evaluations.
Serve as a subject matter expert within the organization for project management knowledge.
Continuously assess and improve PMO team functions and processes while enhancing and updating Project Management methodology and tools.
Perform all duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner.
Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Health/Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university with a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in project management. OR, Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Health/Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in project management.
Membership of Project Management Institute PMI or equivalent.
Experience in a healthcare facility/hospital setting (Desirable).
Specialized KnowledgeProject management qualification (PMP) or equivalent.
Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and/or change management.
Project Management techniques and application.
How to evaluate, analyze project and provide estimates.
Statistical, analytical, and quantitative techniques.
Knowledge of JCIA, CBAHI & KAAQA standards (Desirable).
Computer knowledge of MS-Office applications as well as project management tools/programs like MS Project.
