Wood, a global leader in engineering and consulting services, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team!

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of assigned projects within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry. You'll leverage your expertise to manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate deliverables, and ensure projects meet all quality, schedule, and budget targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of project plans, including the Project Execution Plan, Discipline Design Instruction, and contract requisitions.

  • Prepare project plans and multi-discipline documents like basis of design and subcontract scopes of work.

  • Effectively manage and coordinate engineering inputs and deliverables across various disciplines and execution centers.

  • Uphold quality standards, proactively identifying and addressing any Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop project-specific procedures to ensure engineering activities comply with contractual requirements and project scope.

  • Oversee schedule development, planning, and resource allocation for assigned engineering tasks.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality engineering work, exceeding the expectations of internal and external clients.

  • Proactively identify potential delays or changes and escalate them to the Project Manager, supporting the implementation of approved modifications.

  • Coordinate and maintain technical excellence across all interdisciplinary project deliverables.

  • Guide and mentor other Project Engineers, fostering their growth and development.

  • Manage interfaces between engineering disciplines to guarantee the successful completion of assigned work.

You Are:

  • A degreed engineer (Bachelor's minimum, Master's preferred) in a relevant discipline (Process, Piping, Mechanical, Structural, or Electrical & Controls).

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Engineering within a PMC or EPC environment, specializing in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.

  • Proven experience managing offshore platform and facility projects is essential.

  • A Professional Engineer or hold a relevant engineering charter (preferred).

  • Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent qualification (preferred).

  • Experience in either Process, Piping, Mechanical, Structural, or Electrical & Controls engineering is a plus.

  • Prior experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is highly desirable.

  • A demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of project engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, project scheduling, and cost control.

  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams within Engineering and Procurement (E&P) projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of technical work scopes, including commercial aspects, with a working understanding of project specifications and standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and effectively leading work efforts.
