MEP Manager - Mechanical Engineering

ASARA PMC, a leading project management consultancy firm, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled MEP/Building Services Manager to join our growing team.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in all aspects of MEP/Building Services for our projects, ensuring successful design, review, and development from concept to completion. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet client requirements, budget constraints, and local codes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire design process for mechanical, plumbing, district cooling, and gas services across all project phases.

• Collaborate extensively with development teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver innovative, code-compliant design solutions.

• Oversee seamless coordination with internal and external design teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design documents and drawings within budget and adhering to client expectations.

• Conduct regular design review meetings, providing technical guidance and support to clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.

• Proactively monitor project progress, identify and resolve design challenges, and report issues promptly.

• Maintain meticulous project documentation, including design records, change orders, and approvals.

• Uphold strict compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations to guarantee project success.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective integration of design elements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Compile and present reports and visuals regarding designs, reviews, cost analysis, and project progress.

• Facilitate and chair meetings with clients, consultants, design teams, and stakeholders, capturing minutes as needed.

• Oversee and manage all project interfaces within the delivery program.

• Prepare and present design reports, presentations, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).

• Registration as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer (or similar) is mandatory.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the design, review, documentation, specification, project management, and staff coordination of mechanical, plumbing, district cooling, and gas services.

• Experience in construction oversight of the aforementioned infrastructure is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of design principles, analysis techniques, and best practices for MEP/Building Services.

• Proficiency in engineering design software and related tools.

• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

• Experience in coordinating and executing design activities, managing design consultants, engaging with stakeholders, and leading design teams.

• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, and diverse teams.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Working knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and local regulations.
