Overall, A sauce production Assistant manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and production of sauces and condiments in a food processing facility, He supervise and coordinate the activities of workers who operate processing and packaging machines, and workers who grade food products

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing a team of production workers to ensure efficient and effective production of sauces and condiments.

2. Monitor the reports and give a summary report to the Production Manager each week.

3. Developing and implementing production schedules and strategies to meet production targets and deadlines.

4. Monitoring production processes to ensure quality control and compliance with food safety regulations.

5. Supervising and coordinating the activities of production staff to ensure proper training, performance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

6. Conducting regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure they are properly maintained and in good working condition.

7. Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.

8. Communicating with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and distribution, to coordinate production activities and meet customer demand.

9. Keeping accurate records of production data, including production output, inventory levels, and maintenance schedules.

10. . Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to optimize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

11. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all production staff.

12. Communicate with each supporting department the needs of the production department and also production schedules. The support departments are Quality, Sanitation, Warehouse, Maintenance, Personnel. Shipping (for return baskets, production orders)

13. Communicate with the Shipping Department as their support department that all needs are met (orders completed). 

14. Monitor shift efficiencies to insure budgets are obtained and costs are controlled. (labor, ingredients, waste, production rates)

15. Lead production planning for labor, production schedules each week and month and also for Holiday schedules. 

16. All problem decision making should must be coordinated with approval from the Production Manager.

• Preferably 5 to 10 years of work related experience in Bread Processing or any other food industries.

• Has knowledge in cGMP, SSOP, HACCP and ISO 22000:2005 systems.

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology or any other related food science courses.
