Job Description
The Mechanical Commissioning TFA III is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the commissioning of power plant equipment. You will ensure safety, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the process. This role involves collaborating with the Commissioning Lead/Manager and requires extensive travel.
Responsibilities
Manage, perform, coordinate, and monitor the commissioning of power plant control systems
Organize and supervise safe plant operation from system turnover to commercial operation
Ensure proper documentation of commissioning, operation, quality, and feedback
Prepare, manage, perform, and coordinate commissioning activities for specific systems
Implement and enforce environmental and safety procedures
Oversee subcontractor compliance with EHS requirements
Participate in site meetings
Recommend improvements and cost-reduction strategies
Hand over commissioning documentation and software to the Commissioning Lead/Manager
Report and follow up on commercial and technical deviations
Maintain daily work logs, occurrence records, and commissioning records
Provide technical feedback to project engineering departments
Organize and manage commissioning test equipment
Train customer staff in operation and maintenance (as instructed)
Travel extensively (domestically and internationally)
Be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (as required)
Perform other duties to support FieldCore's vision and core values
Qualifications
University degree in Engineering or higher qualification (preferred)
7+ years of experience working with mechanical systems (preferred)
Successful completion of TFA III training (mandatory)
Ability to travel extensively
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English)
Ability to connect with personnel at all levels
Desired Characteristics
Experience overseeing commissioning activities
Expertise in a secondary competency (e.g., mentoring, team leadership)
Proven experience in power plant commissioning
Strong understanding of EHS rules and regulations
Project management experience
