Senior Instrument Engineer

Job Description:

• Provide technical support to the Instrument Maintenance Section, identifying problematic equipment and implementing long-term solutions.

• Develop innovative solutions to maintenance issues using new or existing technologies.

• Analyze current practices and recommend optimal solutions in line with industry best practices for instrumentation and control systems.

• Create standard documentation and specifications adhering to international standards.

• Maintain open communication with section and department heads regarding effective maintenance practices and seek opportunities for teamwork and improvement.

• Ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective maintenance services for all instrumentation and control equipment under your responsibility.

• Monitor workload, team activities, and resources to ensure adequate support for team activities.

• Proficiency in Yokogawa Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD).

• Strong background in field instrumentation and analyzer instruments.

• Familiarity with various Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.

• Focus on reliability-centered maintenance for system efficiency and longevity.

• Proven track record in troubleshooting complex instrumentation issues.

• Skilled in overseeing instrument calibration and testing for accuracy.

• Ability to lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures.

Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation & Control required; Master's degree is advantageous.

• Experience participating in HAZOP and CHAZOP studies, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) verification, incident investigations, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).

• Experience in commissioning various instrument engineering projects such as compressor anti-surge control systems, steam turbine speed governor control systems, etc.

• Developed and implemented maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

• Managed spare parts inventory and procurement processes.

• Mentored and trained junior engineers in instrumentation maintenance best practices.

• Ensured compliance with safety regulations and standards.
