Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of low current electrical systems such as security systems, fire alarm systems, communication systems, and access control systems.
Supervise and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify any issues, and provide technical guidance to the project team.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical low current systems with the overall project design.
Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure projects are completed within scope and on time.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material selections related to low current electrical systems.
Collaborate with the design and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of low current system components.
Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the installation and testing phases.
Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders to communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
Manage and resolve any technical issues, change orders, and RFIs related to low current electrical systems.
Oversee the preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and training of end-users on low current system functionalities.
Implement and enforce quality assurance and control processes to uphold the highest standards in low current system installations.
Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in low current engineering and integrate innovative solutions into project designs and execution.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working on electrical low current systems in building or construction projects.
Proven experience in construction supervision and project management.
Strong knowledge of low current systems design, installation, and integration.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Professional Engineering license is a plus.
