Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Procurement Engineer to join our team in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process for our company. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. You will also be responsible for maintaining supplier relationships and evaluating supplier performance. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source potential suppliers for goods and services.

  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.

  • Manage the procurement process, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement needs and requirements.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement.

  • Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.

  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise with suppliers.

Preferred Candidate:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.

  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.

  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
