Head Strategy

Responsibilities:

Strategic:

• Work closely with Beyon CEO/CSO to translate CEO’s vision into the Organization strategy pack.

• Collaborate with Function Head and Sub-Function Managers to prepare strategic initiatives aligned with the Organization Strategy.

• Monitor and report performance against strategic initiatives.

Financial:

• Collaborate with the Functional Head and Sub-Function Managers to prepare the overall budget for the Function.

• Monitor and track adherence to the approved budget, highlighting deviations, and recommending corrective action.

Operational:

• Timely share all communications related to corporate strategy within the Organization.

• Plan and organize strategy planning workshops with all the Business Units and CEO/CSO.

• Design templates and frameworks for Business Units to develop strategic initiatives.

• Identify and recommend criteria for prioritizing strategic initiatives to CEO and senior management.

• Prepare, maintain, and regularly update the database of strategic objectives and initiatives for all Business Units.

• Coordinate with Business Units to track, monitor, and report progress on the execution of strategic initiatives and achievement against set KPIs.

• Lead the process for performance review sessions with Beyon entities, including preparation of templates, review of packs, and circulation of actions.

• Plan and organize Executive Management Team (EMT) meetings, develop and maintain terms of reference, and prepare and circulate EMT agenda and minutes of meeting.

• Plan and organize EXCO and Board Meetings related to strategy topics, coordinating with Business Units to prepare documents for review.

• Work closely with Business Units to plan and organize training and knowledge sharing sessions on strategy.

• Regularly review the Corporate Strategy Planning and provide inputs to enhance process efficiency and robustness.

People:

• Identify training needs and nominate team members for training programs.

• Ensure timely completion of PMR process for self and the team.

• Share knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry and business trends.

• Encourage active participation in employee engagement surveys.

Skills Required:

Qualifications and Experience: Profile 1:

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s or equivalent in Marketing or Strategy.

• Experience: 8-16 years in Business/Marketing/Corporate and business planning roles in the telecom industry, including leading/managing Strategic planning groups.

• Certifications: Strategic Management Professional certification.

Profile 2:

• Qualifications: Master’s in Marketing or Strategy.

• Experience: 7-14 years in Business/Marketing/Corporate and business planning roles in the telecom industry, including leading/managing Strategic planning groups.

• Certifications: Strategic Management Professional certification.
