Senior Quantity Surveyor -MRICS

Due to our continued success in Dubai, Faithful+Gould (SNC-Lavalin) is seeking a highly motivated MRICS Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our established professional team. We are committed to technical excellence, innovation, and the development of our people.

About the Role:

In this role, you will play a key role in all aspects of quantity surveying, from pre-contract cost planning to post-contract cost control. You will collaborate with a skilled team and contribute to our continued success in delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Contract:

  • Cost planning and estimating (BCIS and NRM1)

  • Value engineering, cash flow forecasts, whole life costing, risk management

  • Bills of Quantities production (POMI and CESSM3)

  • Tender services including compilation, analysis, negotiations, and recommendations

  • Contract drafting (FIDIC)

• Post-Contract:

  • Management of bonds, insurances, and guarantee logs

  • Interim valuations and payment certificates

  • Variations analysis, recommendations, and management

  • Risk and value management and cost control functions

  • Cost analysis for ongoing projects

  • Identifying, analyzing, and developing responses to commercial risks

  • Preparation of progress/cost reports

  • Reporting to Associate Director on all commercial issues

  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

  • Attending and representing the company at commercial meetings

Qualifications:

• Essential:

  • MRICS status (non-negotiable)

  • Experience in the residential sector (a plus if experience in other sectors is present)

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized UK university

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the UK, UAE, or international market

  • Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 3 years

  • Knowledge in the use of QS software like CostX or similar

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Proven project management experience

  • Excellent written English language skills with a focus on technical writing
