Job Title: Obstetrics & Gynecology Faculty Member

Job Summary:

The Obstetrics & Gynecology Faculty Member will be responsible for large group and small group teaching, tutorial sessions, student assessment, and clinical clerkship supervision. Additionally, they will provide supervision for thesis/dissertation projects as required and conduct independent research with intra- or extra-mural funding. Participation in clinical practice as part of community service is also expected.

Qualifications:

• Certification from the European Board, Fellowship of Royal College, or American-Canadian Board (Preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of academic teaching and clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology at a medical school

• Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals

• Experience teaching in a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) curriculum

• Basic knowledge of Medical Education

Responsibilities:

• Conduct large group and small group teaching sessions in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

• Assess student performance and provide feedback.

• Supervise clinical clerkships and ensure proper training of medical students.

• Provide guidance and supervision for thesis/dissertation projects.

• Engage in independent research activities, securing funding when necessary.

• Participate in clinical practice to maintain proficiency and contribute to community service efforts.

• Stay updated with advancements in Obstetrics & Gynecology and medical education methodologies.

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives.
