Assistant Director of Information Technology

The Assistant Director of Technology will play a key role in the strategic planning, implementation, and management of technology initiatives within the organization. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective use of technology to support business objectives and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing the organization's technology strategy in alignment with business goals.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the technology department, including hardware and software infrastructure, network security, and IT support services.

• Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems to enhance organizational efficiency and productivity.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to information security and data privacy.

• Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify technology needs and opportunities for process improvement.

• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation to support effective governance and risk management.

• Provide technical expertise and support for IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

• Monitor and analyze technology performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to drive business growth and competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or leadership roles, preferably in a [relevant industry/sector].

• Proven track record of successful project management and implementation of complex technology solutions.

• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve organizational objectives.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration, network security, and cloud technologies.

• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, business intelligence tools, and data analytics platforms.

• Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL are a plus.
