Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records in alignment with company policies and accounting standards. Your expertise will contribute significantly to achieving the short to medium-term goals of the Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Timely recording of transactions in General Ledger and various sub-ledgers, including special modules like HRMS and Telephone Module.
Costing of inventory and ensuring accurate recording.
Preparation of documents related to banks, such as daily deposit slips, LCs, payments, and cheques.
Recording employee-related affairs in HRMS and processing payroll in conjunction with HRMS.
Managing CAPEX, recording asset purchases, disposals, transfers, and write-offs in the Fixed Assets Module.
Conducting monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
Assisting in the verification of inventory, cash, and fixed assets.
Implementing finance policies and procedures and assisting in Credit Control policy implementation.
Managing petty cash (where applicable) and handling timely presentation of Debit Notes / Credit Notes to Customers & Suppliers.
Ensuring timely payments to suppliers and periodical follow-up on all money due to the company.
Conducting customer account reconciliations, principal/supplier account reconciliations, and inter-unit reconciliations.
Performing any other functions assigned by the immediate supervisor in relation to the functional area.
Skills Required:
Minimum University degree in Accounting & Commerce from a Reputed University or partly qualified in a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, and CA.
Age range: 23 to 29 years.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting environment.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
Strong business communication skills.
