Engineer - SNG

Proficiently manage the day-to-day operations of SNG (Satellite News Gathering) and OB (Outside Broadcast) systems alongside their associated equipment. Collaborate closely with field operational and editorial teams to deliver essential support. Ensure bureaus have adequate resources tailored to end-users' requirements. Facilitate the timely delivery of newsgathering outcomes.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Conducts SNG and out broadcast operations as directed by the Unit Supervisor inside and outside Qatar.

• Perform Line-up test on SNG Equipment for new SNG Missions.

• Performs Mandatory Verification Test of SNG and OB systems Uplinks as required

• Performs Preventive Maintenance on all SNG Flyaway , OB systems.

• Provides Technical assistance on all AJMN Bureaus on their SNG and broadcast Systems.

• Keeps logs of operations and equipment History and faults and spares of SNG and OB Systems.

• Keeps logs of operations and Equipment history and faults for all Al Jazeera Network's Bureau’s SNG and broadcast Systems.

• Maintaining and controlling various types of broadcast equipment, component level troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, testing and maintaining all satellite trucks and production equipment in OB systems.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3 years working in SNG or related fields.

• Previous experience working with IP or IT-based systems
